The Chavigny Group is a key player in a number of fields: industry, public works, quarrying & concrete, transport & logistics, recycling, energy and materials.

Founded in 1896, this family-owned company has expanded over the years, opening up internationally and developing new business lines.

Samuel Barreau, the group's Human Resources Director, joined the company with the mission of digitizing HR management: career interviews, training, payroll... When he arrived, digitization was still in its infancy, to the point where he collected whole boxes full of employee interviews carried out on paper.

Its challenge: to implement a simple, easy-to-use tool to facilitate adoption by its employees, who are not used to digital interfaces and whose very hands-on jobs take them away from these issues.

The challenges facing the Chavigny group

1. Rapidly deploy a digital tool across a large number of scattered sites

Chavigny has over 80 sites throughout France. The challenge for the HR department was to offer a tool that would be easy to use in the field, even for employees with little digital skills or who don't have access to a computer in the workplace. The diversity of the sites and their geographical remoteness meant that a single, agile and intuitive tool had to be chosen.

2. Comply with regulatory maintenance requirements

Aware that they were lagging behind in conducting their mandatory interviews (professional, 6-year review & day package framework), Chavigny's management commissioned Samuel Barreau to digitize the conduct of interviews. The objectives? Increase interview completeness, centralize data, make them available to managers and branch directors, and finally, enable better analysis of the results.

3. Easily manage follow-up and recycling of authorizations

Given their core business (building and civil engineering), the subject of authorizations and safety in the workplace was central for the HR team. It was necessary to deploy a new tool to easily ensure that all mandatory authorizations were up to date.

Many Chavigny employees have to operate forklift trucks, construction machinery and other goods vehicles. It is therefore essential to keep up to date with the latest training regulations.
